The Centre for Adoption and Foster Care, (hereinafter the Centre) has been focusing on children in particularly difficult life situations and children raised outside their families since 1994.
The Centre’s aim is to help the family care for children at risk prevail over institutional care and to contribute to general development and change of the system of adoption and foster care in the Czech Republic.
Key activities of the Centre:
- Counselling and preparation of applicants for adoption and foster care;
- Assistance and support for families with a child in care;
- Awareness, education, research and publication activities;
- Contribution to general improvement of adoption and foster care.
The Centre was registered by the Ministry of Interior on 12 September 1994 under the number II/s-OS/1-25352/94-R.
